No kik = no hookup?

I'm gonna go on a bit of a vent here. First thing to make clear is I don't own a smart phone. This is a personal choice I've made for reasons I won't go into, but I just have a regular flip phone and tend to get by just fine with that alone. But not having a smart phone also means I don't have access to the Kik app.
